Fifteen Easy and Healthy Snack Ideas!

So you are going to stop the snack packs, and fruit snacks. What can you and the kids eat? Here are my top ideas!! :) We are skipping Tuesday's top 5 this week because with the start of summer it's helpful to have a list of easy snacks!

1. Air popped popcorn!
2. Celery sticks (you could top with some natural nut butter, cream cheese, raisins)
3. Cut fruit (apples, oranges, berries, kiwi, plums, peaches, melon, grapes, the list could go on forever!) Kids love food on sticks so try having them help make fruit kabobs!!
4. Carrot sticks
5. Nuts (almonds, peanuts, etc)
6. Triscuit's (only 5 ingredients they are great crackers!) They now make minis that my kids love with hummus!
7. Mini (or full sized) muffins or banana bread, or zucchini bread!! (veggies!)
8. Home made Popsicles
9. White cheese cheese sticks (I try to stay away from yellow cheese as it is colored with Annatto which can sometimes trigger food dye reactions for us.)
10. Yogurt (use plain full fat and sweeten and flavor on your own!)
11. Raisins
12. Natural Apple Sauce
13. Dried Fruit (make sure to check for non-added sugar, or make your own!)
14. If you need a kid friendly cracker type (and want to get away from goldfish) I recommend Annie's Whole Wheat white cheddar bunnies.
15. Homemade cookies or granola (you control what are in them!!)
